FAQ for Half Cuts and Engines.

What
kind of warranty comes with my engine or transmission?
All our high performance
engine & transmission carry 30 days warranty from the date it is purchased and our standard engine and transmission carry 90
days warranty. This warranty is only on the engine block and head.
How many
miles do these engines have?
Most of our engines and
transmissions have around between 45,000 miles and 75,000 miles on them and are put through a leak down/compression test for
quality assurance. Some of our difficult to find engines and transmissions
may have slightly higher mileage do to customer demand.
What comes
with an engine?
Intake manifold, exhaust
manifold, motor, A/C, power steering pump, all
brackets and sensors, all required cables, fuel injection, alternator, distributor,
wiring harnesses, oil pan, valve cover, pulleys, turbo/s etc.
Engine
Sensors:
When we receive Japanese
imported engines, sometimes engine sensors may be cracked or broken due to settlement in shipping. We are not liable to
replace the engine sensors. Most of the time, if you receive an engine with a
broken sensor, it will be the TPS or throttle position sensor, which is located
on the backside of the throttle-body. However, if you happen to receive an engine
from us with a broken TPS sensor, almost any Honda/Acura TPS sensor will work
as a replacement.
Engine Wiring
Harness:
Japanese engine wiring
harnesses are basically useless on a U.S. engines.
They're designed specifically for right-hand drive cars and really can
only be used for salvaging plugs. The reason why a right-hand drive engine wiring
harness will not work is because of the opposite locations of the ECU and battery plugs.
How much is
shipping and how long does it take?
Shipping rates will vary from Port
to Port. Importing petrol/diesel engines into the United States will now require
and EPA Certification from the origin's Chamber of Commerce. This new
requirement may take up to 5-7 business days. Since these engines and half cuts will be coming from Japan, allow
30-60 days for delivery from the time the vessel leaves the port.
